TGIF

I went down to the WA coast last weekend to visit my friend, Brook, and a mutual friend of ours that was in town. This here is the tallest lighthouse in Washington, and aren't I super cool with my pose here?

I have to admit that I'm intrigued by lighthouses. There's kind of an attraction to them, and I'm not sure why What is it that is so cool about them because it can't be from watching Pete's Dragon 20x on The Disney Channel can it? This pic is a view up the tower.

Here's a look down. We climbed 135 stairs and it wasn't too bad. The worst part was the dumbass couple that was with us who wouldn't stop asking the dumbest questions, like was the leveling drum still filled with mercury to level the lens (esp. after they'd already said it was now electric-run).

In case you were ever wondering, this is not how one can lose weight. Chocolate chip cookie dough is meant to be baked into cookies for one's co-workers, not eaten over the course of a week and a half.

Taking pictures with the boys is like trying to wrestle kids. I think I tried seven different shots and I dont' think I got both of their faces in one of them. This one cracked me up, though. For some reason, posting a pic with me and the dogs makes me think of the long-awaited weekend and something to look forward to. Why do noses seem more crooked, the closer you get with the camera?

Work is still really busy for me, and I'm sorry for not coming around more often lately. It should calm down in the next week or so, but the last thing I've wanted to do at night is sit at the computer. Even this post doesn't have much of a point, I know.

Btw, I want to take a poll on what I should be for Halloween this year. I haven't dressed up since I was in high school. My mom sews killer costumes, but she's a little preoccupied right now and what little time she has needs to be spent making the grandkids' costumes, as she's done every year.

The obvious (especially for this blog) would be Dorothy, but it seems like a lot of people dress up with that and it wouldn't be as funny without Reese walking next to me as Toto. My other favorite is Mary Katherine Gallagher from Saturday Night Live, but her skirt might be too short for me. I'm also not really in to sexy costumes because they just don't look good on me. Lily Munster or Cleopatra might be interesting.
