TMI, TMI, TMI
I have to admit that I was quite glad to hear of the death of this murderous thug, al-Zarqawi , but I did not need to see his corpse plastered across my TV screen at 7:15 a.m. on The Today Show -- and without warning.
And now, I can't stop myself from looking at it again, whenever I see it on Yahoo or Google. They apparently cleaned up his face, but there's a bloody puddle underneath (I have a thing about dead people creeping me out).
What do you think? Should the media have displayed that picture? Would you have believed the news without it?
UPDATE: I think some of you might have misunderstood me. I'm not saying that posting the picture is being disrespectful to him, but I wonder if people should have more of a choice of whether to look at it? I have not viewed any of the pictures or videos of his tortures, and don't think those should've been published, either.
