Another great light has gone out
If you learn from your suffering, and really come to
understand the lesson you were taught,
you might be able to help someone else
who's now in the phase you may have just completed.
Maybe that's what it's all about after all...

I received an e-mail over the weekend that Jen's father lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, after being diagnosed just a couple of months ago.
She's coming home (to KC) tomorrow night, so I ask that you go on over and say "hi." I know that you may be thinking, "But, I don't really know her, is that weird?" No it's not. We are bloggers, we are part of the same community, but most of all, we are people. And Jen is about the nicest, spunky woman you could ever meet. I know she'd appreciate you stopping by.
It's times like these, when you're wondering what you're going to do the next time you want to call Dad or what next Christmas will be like without him, that it somehow softens the blow to hear a kind word from someone, even if it's someone you've never met.
